Tea and a Truth Biscuit: The Gift of Keeping My Mouth Shut

Kirsten left this morning.

For almost three weeks, I had the absolute honor of being in her orbit—first in Vietnam and then here in Siem Reap. Temples, tuk-tuks, delicious food, belly laughs, quiet moments, and the kind of memories that get tucked somewhere deep in the soul.

Kirsten is truly the greatest gift of this lifetime.

Over 34 years ago, I had the honor of bringing her onto this planet, into this time and space, for her adventure. Not mine. Hers.

And that is the Truth Biscuit.

As her mother, I see things. Of course I do.

Do I see things coming her way? Yes.
Do I see work she may need to do? Yes.
Do I see things she cannot yet see from where she is standing? Absolutely.

But I am learning—over and over again—that just because I can see something does not mean it is mine to say.

I call myself a no-drama mama, and let me tell you, that is not some cute little slogan. That is spiritual weightlifting. That is Holistic Scaffolding™ in real time. That is choosing, consciously, to keep my mouth shut when my programmed human wants to grab the Wisdom Wand and start waving it like a f*cking traffic controller.

But love is not control.

Love is not correction.

Love is not standing on the sidelines of someone else’s life shouting, “Watch out! I can see your bullsh*t from here!”

Sometimes love is silence.

Sometimes love is trusting that another human’s journey belongs to them.

Sometimes love is letting your daughter, your partner, your friend, your fellow human have the dignity of their own becoming.

And this is exactly where I am with Souls Healing Humanity, too.

Yes, I have been gifted Holistic Scaffolding™ technology.
Yes, I use it numerous times a day.
Yes, there was a time and space when I consciously tried to get it out to other humans.

But not anymore.

Now, I choose to live it.

Quietly. Honestly. Imperfectly. Fully.

I choose to love on my other humans without needing to fix, convince, teach, explain, prove, rescue, or package myself into some shiny self-help sh*t show.

I have completed another book called Mystery and Manifestation, and right now, I am quietly living that, too.

I am learning how to balance mystery and manifestation in my own life. I am learning that my real work is not to make other people see what I see. My real work is to keep doing my own work.

That is all I can do for my daughter.

That is all I can do for Souls Healing Humanity.

That is all I can do for my fellow humans.

Live it.

Love them.

Keep my own side of the street clean.

And when I feel the urge to point, preach, poke, or push?

I pause.

I breathe.

I remember: their adventure belongs to them.

And mine belongs to me.

Wisdom Nugget: Just because you can see someone’s lesson does not mean you are the one meant to teach it.

I love all you people.

Love and ((HUGS)),

Laura Foster, Founder of Souls Healing Humanity
