Time for Tea and a Truth Biscuit:
I have thoroughly enjoyed my hikes and runs on the beautiful Idaho hills, and I will often see giant black beetles on my path.
Some are scurrying to and from their boroughs, some I’m pretty sure are playing with poop, some are dead as a doornail, and some are flipped upside down with their little black legs grappling in the air.
When I witness the strugglers, I reach down without hesitation and flip the little creature back over.
All this without any conversation, like:
“Oh my God, what happened to you?
Who turned your world upside down?
Why would they do such a thing to you?
What are you going to do when I flip you back over?”
And, no need to hear the “Klink, Klink” of cosmic Karma coins being deposited in my “Good Deeds“ Jar.
So, as I witness the beautiful beetle scurry off to its next adventure, I am reminded that it is indeed all about love and compassion.
Maybe the next time you see a creature struggling or a human in despair, you, too, will pause for a moment and help them. Perhaps it’s as simple as not judging their current circumstances but energetically sending them unconditional love and compassion.
