Are you struggling a bit after a bad breakup or divorce?
Perhaps you just scraped the bottom of another pint of Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie and decided to search the internet for some tips to help you through this rough patch. F*ck, let’s be real honest here; this is not just a rough patch but a ginormous vortex of goo that is sucking you down. You feel heartbroken, lost, depressed, abandoned, and angry.
You may be receiving some half-thought-out piece of advice that is flooding the internet:
- Rediscover your hidden passions
- Embrace solo adventures
- Refresh your wardrobe
- Try a new hairstyle
I’m not saying this advice is terrible, and it can benefit you. But at Souls Healing Humanity, I always write my own content and share a broader perspective that may help you. On a personal note, I was married for 32 years and “did the work” to come to an incredible place of peace.
Now, it may have been a complete sh*t show of emotional and/or physical abuse in your last relationship. I’m not saying what you went through was a gift. However, when you learn the framework of Holistic Scaffolding™ and practice numerous Wisdom Wands, and Wisdom Nuggets, you will see the opportunity to view your recent breakup as a gift. This recent suck-ass event can allow you to learn, change, and Evolve instead of being stuck in the Repeat pattern.
The very first platform of Holistic Scaffolding™ is Awareness, so I’d like you to reflect and become aware of the following Wisdom Nugget:
- Stop waiting around for someone else to apologize.
- Stop waiting for someone to embrace and accept all of you. Even your smelly ass after a hot yoga session. By the way, I live in Arizona and want to get this whole hot yoga thing. All I have to do is step outside in July and do Bingo Bango Hot AF Yoga. I digress.
- Stop waiting for someone to unconditionally love you. We ain’t got time for “looking in love in all the wrong places,” now, do we?
- Stop waiting for someone else to bring you flowers. F*ck that sh*t! Grow your own kale; it’s a superfood.
Now here is your action step.
- Grab a journal and reflect on the list I just provided.
- What has the most emotional charge around it?
- Now, start giving that to yourself!
For example, you may need to apologize to YOURSELF; you may have had years or decades of not showing up for YOU! You must learn to embrace and accept all parts of yourself. And this could be the time in your life when you truly learn how to unconditionally love yourself!
You may be thinking that sounds intriguing. I never thought about it that way. What do I do next?
There are six platforms for the Holistic Scaffolding™, and you were getting some beautiful practice with the first platform of Awareness. But join me next week when we climb up to the next platform of Holistic Scaffolding™.
